Terms

Dog Walking

Dog walking services must be booked by the Thursday close prior to the Monday of the following week.

Dog Daycare/Sitting

Dog daycare/sitting must be booked one week in advance save any emergency situation which we will always try to accommodate.

Dog Grooming

Dog grooming services must be booked by Thursday close prior to the Monday start of the following week. As indicated in our reservation form, we require all dogs left with us for grooming services show proof of the following current vaccinations: Rabies, DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvo & Para influenza), Bordatella (aka Kennel Cough or Tracheo Bronchitis).

Dog Training

Dog Training services must be booked at least one week in advance.

Dog Taxi

By appointment.

Payment

We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards (either directly, and we'll process for you, or you can process through PayPal).

New Clients – Payment for all services must be received in full prior to booking an appointment.

Existing Clients – Payment of Dog Hill’s invoice is due upon receipt.

Pet sitting bookings and day visits are subject to a 40% non-refundable deposit, payable in advance to secure your time slot.

If payment is not received within seven days of the invoice date a 10% surcharge will be applied.

A fee of $35 is applied for NSF or returned checks.

Cancellation Policy

Dog Walking & Grooming

24 hours cancellation notice is required for all dog walking and or grooming services. If this is not received, then a no show fee will apply at regular rates to any dog walking and grooming services booked, but not used. The average groom no show is $40.

Dog Sitting & Training

72 hours cancellation notice is required for all pet sitting and day visits. Cancellations received less than 48 hours before any arranged reservation begins are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before an arranged reservation begins are subject to a 100% cancellation fee. In the event that the Sitter or Trainer is in route to, or has arrived at, your home, or you return early during a daycare or sitting service appointment, then the Sitter must also be paid in full.

General Terms

Dogs must be sociable with other dogs, people and children.

Dogs must be leash-trained and safe to walk, without excessive pulling.

Dogs must be up to date with all worm and flea treatment. We will ask to see certificates of vaccinations for all dogs. We also ask that your dog(s) are in general good health.

We require that all dogs left with us for grooming show proof of the vaccinations for Rabies, DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvo & Para influenza), Bordatella (aka Kennel Cough or Tracheo Bronchitis).

Should any veterinary advice or treatment be necessary during your absence, no matter how it was incurred, you will be entirely responsible for paying the bill.

Un-castrated dogs (unless under 9 months old) or females in season will not be accepted on walks, but are acceptable for home visits.

You must advise us of any behavioral problems, traits or vices your dog may have before we take charge of them.

All dogs will remain leashed unless prior agreement and or written permission has been received from you.

The minimum duration for a walk is 15 minutes. We reserve the right to use our personal judgment to cut short a walk in the best interests of your dog if we think it necessary, e.g. weather conditions, injury, mobility issues, age of dog, etc.

Generally, no more than 3 dogs will be walked together by one walker on a group walk, however, our run with the pack walk is intentionally set up for larger pack walks of 6 or more dogs.

We reserve the right to decline or terminate a reservation.

Your dog is welcome to bring their favorite play toy, ball or other item on walks, but we cannot take any responsibility for loss of or damage to the items.

For pet sitting or day visits at your home, ou should notify your neighbors (and your home insurance company, if required) that we will be visiting the property in your absence.

Fuel surcharges may be applied dependent on your location.
